В сети продолжают накапливаться подробности о следующей игровой приставке Xbox Series X, чей выход в продажу состоится к рождественскому сезону продаж 2020 года.
Как сообщил тематический итальянский ресурс Generacion Xbox, у приставки предусмотрен специальный режим загрузки под названием Windows Mode.
Благодаря этому режиму, на приставке можно будет запускать приложения для Windows 10. Фактически, он превращает консоль в полноценный ПК и прекращает давнюю войну «приставки против ПК».

Итальянский игровой сайт Game Experience со ссылкой на источники, осведомлённые о проекте, сообщил о том, что у консоли Xbox Series X будет «Режим Windows» (Windows Mode). В этом режиме консоль сможет запускать определенные приложения для Windows 10.
Если верить источникам Game Experience, то Xbox Series X в «Режиме Windows» сможет запускать игры из цифровых сервисов, доступных на РС, вроде Steam и Epic Games Store.

Playing your Xbox Series X/S on your laptop screen is very much a possibility, but getting it done will require a bit of effort on your part. No need to worry because we plan on explaining all of the important aspects of streaming your Xbox to your laptop computer. It makes a lot of sense for Xbox Serie X/S games to want to play on their laptop since not everyone might have a dedicated monitor on hand. Now, we are going to use Remote Play to enable the stream between the two devices. That means the connection will be done over a wireless standard rather than with a wire.
How to turn on Remote Play on an Xbox Series X/S console
Remote Play, as we’ve mentioned above, relies a lot on a stable Wi-Fi connection to the Xbox. But that is just a single aspect, and as such, we need to list the important things needed.
- A laptop preferably running the latest version of Windows 11, though Windows 10 is fine as well.
- An upload bandwidth of more than 10Mbps consistently
- 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible
- Xbox Series X/S
- The laptop and Xbox must be connected to the same network
Let’s be very clear about something. You can have both devices connected to different networks. However, doing so will likely decrease performance and trigger network lag on a regular basis.
- Boot your Xbox Series console
- Navigate to Settings
- Enable Remote Play
- Download and open the Xbox app
- Connect both devices
- Select your Xbox video game console.

Press the power button on either the console or the controller, then wait a few seconds.

- Tap on the Xbox button on your controller to launch the Guide.
- From there, go to Profile & System
- Then select the Settings option from the menu.
3] Enable Remote Play
- Tap the section that reads, Devices & Connections.
- Select Remote Features.
- Select the checkbox next to Enable Remote Features.
- Finally, Select Standby under Sleep Mode.
4] Download and open the Xbox app
Before we can connect the Xbox to your laptop for maximum fun, we must first download the Xbox app to the computer.
- Visit the official Xbox app page.
- Under Xbox app for Windows PC, please select Download the App.
- Open the downloaded app and sign in with your Microsoft account.
5] Connect both devices
The next step is to connect your Xbox to your laptop in order to play some games. Bear in mind once more that is recommended both devices are connected to the same network for optimal performance.
- From the opened app, click the Consoles button located at the top-left
- Select your Xbox video game console.
- The Xbox will now automatically connect directly with your laptop.
You should now see a brief startup screen with the Xbox logo. Once completed, you now have the ability to interact with your Xbox as normal. Now, ensure your Xbox controller is connected because you won’t be able to interact with the console using the mouse and keyboard.
Additionally, we should note that as long as the Xbox Series X/S device is set to Standby Mode, there will be no need to turn on the Xbox first. Simply connect as we’ve explained above, and begin having some fun.

Can you play Xbox remote play away from home?
Yes, this can be done. However, we must point out this is only available to iOS and Android devices at this time.

Gamers can use the Xbox Play Anywhere service to play certain Xbox games on their Windows computer. At the time of writing, the service supports 208 games, though some are different editions of the same title, so not exactly 208.
What is Remote Play?
Remote Play is a feature that allows users to stream games from their Xbox console to a supported device. Such devices include the likes of Windows computers, iOS, and Android devices. With this feature, you’ll be able to play your Xbox normally, but the laptop or mobile device will act as the monitor.
What is the difference between Xbox Remote Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming?
They are not the same by any means. Remote Play requires the use of a local Wi-Fi connection and local devices. Xbox Cloud on the other hand does most of the work using cloud servers. But not only that, users must be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

A new rumor floating about “insider circles of the Xbox community” suggests that the Xbox Series X might have a “Windows mode.” This, proponents believe, may afford the upcoming console access to third-party stores such as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
If Microsoft does indeed intend to further bridge the gap between console and PC in this manner, it may serve as a big selling point in its rivalry with Sony.
As rumors go, however, this one isn’t the most believable. It does not seem so far-fetched that Microsoft, as the owner of Windows, tries to implement this quality, exponentially expanding the possibilities that the future would offer us in its machines.
How the company intends to handle varying system requirements for the many PC games available through storefronts like Steam is unclear.
We’ve already received official word that Xbox Game Studios titles will remain playable across both the current and next generation of Xbox consoles as well as PC. The publisher confirmed that the Series X may not get true exclusives until a year or two after its launch.
If this latest rumor is true, prospective buyers will have more than one reason to opt for Microsoft’s offering over Sony’s PS5.

The Xbox Series X|S are fantastic consoles but just like anything they are going to have the odd issue. Luckily Microsoft built a safe mode into the consoles, giving us a couple of different options to help fix them. So below we have listed the steps on how you can do this.

Xbox Series X|S not working after using safe mode?
If you have tried using some of the options within safe mode to try and fix the issue you are having with your Xbox Series X|S with no success, then the problem you are having might be a little more severe. And you may need to look at contacting Xbox support about the issue you are having.
Xbox Series X|S safe mode options:
- Offline system update (update using a USB device)
- Reset this Xbox (restore factory defaults)
- Turn off this Xbox
How to start Xbox in troubleshoot mode
Below are the steps to enter safe mode on your Xbox Series X|S.
1. First, you need to completely turn off your Xbox
2. Now hold the Sync button on the console and press the Power button (Keep hold of the Sync button until Safe Mode opens and you will also hear a beep)
3. You will now have the different Safe Mode options that we mentioned above that you can choose from (you will need to use the arrows on your controller to navigate the options)
