Windows XP Ganja Edition is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by cropptown89 (also known as Ziomek). It released on November 1, 2009, and was added to the archive on December 9, 2021.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, which comes with DriverPacks LAN/WLAN/Chipset and mass storage drivers, along with many updates integrated. It is slightly stripped down.

It comes with a completely new look, featuring ganja, rasta, weed, and everything inbetween! …Along with a icon set, a funky-looking wallpaper, and free ganja skins in the WEJDZ TU folder, among many other things.

Anyhow, it is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite 1.4.9.1 on Windows XP SP3.

Minor changes

The text-mode setup OS text is changed
The Winver banner has been changed to a Mac OS X banner

Look and feel

New default theme, and wallpaper. The default theme has been changed to a theme called Rasta Style by ravi8. The theme has been modified to have a different wallpaper and icon set. Despite the default theme font being Calibri, this bootleg does not come with it
New icon set. The default icon set has been changed, most of them being Mac icons, a few being ripped from icon sites
New Aero cursor set
All of the system sounds have been purged
A weed-themed clock screensaver has been added

Notes

Bootleg quirks

There is a folder called «WEJDZ TU!!» (ENTER HERE!!) on the Desktop which has some registry tweaks and the Rasta boot skin.
Inside the «open this» folder on the desktop, there is a folder called «skin to the new gg» (gg is Gadu-Gadu), in this folder you can see a ‘ganja’ skin for the instant messaging client Gadu Gadu.
The shell32.dll tree icon (#42) has been changed to a pentagram.
The shell32.dll IE icon is changed to an IE monster icon.
The default username is «Yo_ZiOm». Yo is English, while Ziom is Polish slang for something like «mate».

The CD label is set to «WinLite».

WINNT.SIF metadata

The full name and organization is set to «CROPPTOWN89» and «MiCrOsHiT_2009».
The computer name is set to «GANJA».
The workgroup name is set to «PALACZE».
