hallo,

recently i have upgrade my PC form Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate N. after the upgrade i had to install all the programs again even Step7, Step7 basicand Winccflex.
when i try to install Wincc-flex 2008 SP2 on Windows 7 UltimateN i get the message that Winccflex cannot be installed on the Ultimate N version of WIndows7.
the Ultimate N version is the complete version of Ultimate ful version without the Media center and windows media player.
for the installation of Winccflex we don’t this option i hope?
can someone give me a solution?

 Hello hanjorre,

It seems that you are using Win7 64-bit, you must use 32-bit instead.

 hello HMZ,

i have a 32-bit operatingsysteem as you see in the attachment. Step7 V5.5, Step7 basic V10.5, Wincc Basic V10.5, PLCSim V5.4SP4 are installed succesfully on Windows 7 Utlimate N.
there is also a problem with the installation of MSSQL server 2005 for Wincc flex.
is there sometimes a tool (form Siemens or Micrfosoft) to solve this problem?

 I have attached the Operating System document. Ultimate N is not specified but it is not excluded. On the Microsft website I found an update to upgrade the N and KN versions to standad Ultimate. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=31017ed3-166a-4c75-b90c-a6cef9b414c4

Also, in the OS document it specifies that the Flexible 2008 SP2 is compatible with IE V6.0 SP1, V7.0 and V8.0. If Internet Explorer is not installed on your system you may need to add it as well.

 Dear Billwest,

From your attached document, I can see that WinCC Flexible 2008 SP2 is indeed compatable with Windows 7 32bit edition, but when I try to install it I get the attached «message».

My Windows is Windows 7 Professional and the System Type is 32 bit.

Any Idea?!

 Hello,

Yes, you can use WinCC flexible 2008 SP2 with Windows 7 32bit.

You need for installation a DVD of WinCC flexible 2008 SP2.
You can not use DVD with WinCC flexible 2008 SP1 and the internet download of SP2 of WinCC flexible.

 Dear All,

When i install Win CC flexible 2008 on my laptop. I had an error: «The following program could not be installed: Windows Installer 3.1 Setup cannot complete the installation» (as my attached picture).
I install the software on Windows 7 — 32 bit Professional.
Please give me an advice how to fix this issue.

Добрый день,друзья!
Купили рабочий ноутбук-все проги вроде успешно встали,кроме WinCC flexiable 2008! проблема в том,что на компе windows 7 SP1, и не могу найти рабочей ссылки с такими параметрами! везде нужне SP2 or SP3! может кто подскажет,рабочее место)

Tia portal вобще не шарю! нужен именно WinCC flexible 2008!

Виртуализация — наше ффсё!
Ставьте VMware, в неё гостевую WinXPsp2, а туда уже WinCC.

А у win7 есть sp2 или sp3?
Или на флексибл нужны сервиспаки? На него сервиспаки можно скачать с официального сайта.

lordvako, ноут не HP случайно? у них были проблемы (решаемые) с установкой флекси из-за конфликта с драйверами…
ну и да, SP2 и SP3 для Win7 не существуют )
