Уникальный пак разработан для операционной системы Windows, который заменит системные звуки компьютера, а именно: всплывание уведомлений; появление ошибки на экране; сворачивание окон и другие саунд-эффекты, на новое музыкальное сопровождение. Представленные звуковые эффекты понравятся любителям жанра ужасов и серии игр — «Silent Hill». 

1. Скачайте и распакуйте архив silent_hill_4_-_the_room.rar с помощью WinRar.
2. Переместите папку с содержанием файлов формата *.wav по адресу: C:\Windows\Media.
3. Нажмите сочетание клавиш Win+R и введите «mmsys.cpl«, затем нажмите кнопку «ОК». Это откроет окно «Звук». Попасть в него можно также через панель управления или меню настроек.
4. Задайте мелодию для каждого состояния (Восклицание, Вопрос, Закрытие программы и другие).
5. Сохраните полученную схему в памяти Windows (кнопка «Сохранить как»), а затем примените изменения кнопкой «ОК».
6. Новые звуки начнут работать сразу, без перезагрузки операционной системы.

Обратите внимание! Звуки mp3 необходимо предварительно конвертировать в расширение wav.  А файл формата *.soundpack установить стандартными средствами не получится. Для него потребуется программа SoundPackager.
