I recently installed the Ryzen Controller software to manage my AMD Ryzen 5 processor. It was very easy to set up and provides me with lots of information about my system. It includes a detailed overview of all my connected devices, as well as their performance levels. I’m quite impressed with the fan control settings and the ability to monitor my CPU temperatures. I also like the ability to tune the memory timings and the core voltage. Overall, the user interface is well designed and easy to navigate. I haven’t encountered any bugs or stability issues. All in all, it’s a useful tool for monitoring my PC performance.

I recently downloaded the Ryzen Controller software to control my new Ryzen processor-based system. The software was easy to install and the user interface is intuitive. I was able to quickly access all of the settings I needed to customize my system. I was also able to monitor the temperatures and fan speeds in real-time. The software also has a built-in auto-tune feature which was very helpful. I was able to adjust the CPU clock speed, voltage, and power settings with ease. I was also able to adjust the memory timings and other settings with this software. Overall, the Ryzen Controller software is easy to use with a good feature set.

Программа имеет открытый исходный код и распространяется бесплатно. Ryzen Controller поддерживается операционными системами Windows 10 и 11 (64 бит). Интерфейс имеет перевод на русский язык (нужно предварительно активировать в меню «Languages»).
Из-за множества различных (и проприетарных) конструкций материнских плат ноутбуков не существует официального инструмента для настройки производительности мобильных процессоров AMD Ryzen. Из-за этого многие из этих микросхем сдерживаются производителями по мощности и тепловым ограничениям.
Ryzen Controller — это утилита с открытым исходным кодом, которая раскрывает возможности ноутбуков AMD Ryzen с простым в использовании графическим интерфейсом пользователя. Вносимые программой изменения (твики) в конфигурацию процессора можно сохранить в виде пользовательских предустановок (пресетов), которые по мере необходимости можно быстро активировать и деактивировать. Кроме того, в приложении предусмотрена функция скачивания готовых пресетов, созданных разработчиками и пользователями, под тот или иной ноутбук AMD Ryzen.
На момент написания обзора утилита Ryzen Controller была полностью совместима с лэптопами AMD Ryzen мобильного ряда 2XXX, 3XXX, 4XXX и 5XXX.
Функции программы Ryzen Controller
При помощи Ryzen Controller можно настроить множество различных параметров работы мобильных процессоров, однако большинству пользователей потребуется изменить только некоторые из них для повышения производительности. Большинство твков связано с изменением настроек STAPM ноутбука, но есть несколько других полезных параметров, с которыми также можно поэкспериментировать. Но стоит понимать, что любые вносимые изменения пользователь делает на свой страх и риск.
Касательно STAPM. Это аббревиатура от «Skin Temperature Aware Power Management», которую можно примерно перевести как «Управление питанием с учетом температуры корпуса» ноутбука. Данная технология предполагает автоматическое увеличение мощности вычислительных компонентов компьютера (помимо центрального, сюда относится и графический процессор) до предела в течение какого-то времени и/или до тех пор, пока показания дополнительных датчиков температуры, встроенных в корпус лэптопа, не достигнут определенных значений.
Однако данная технология не учитывает конструкцию ноутбука. Конфигурация STAPM компьютера устанавливается производителем и различается в зависимости от используемого процессора и форм-фактора устройства. При помощи программы Ryzen Controller эту конфигурацию можно изменить под себя.
В общей сложности в Ryzen Controller предусмотрено 3 группы твиков, куда относятся:
Параметры центрального процессора:
- Лимит температуры. Можно увеличить значение температуры (вплоть до 105 градусов), до которой процессор может нагреться перед его выходом из режима максимальной производительности.
- CPU TDP. Параметр определяет предельную мощность (Вт) питания, которая будет подаваться на процессор при длительной работе в режиме максимальной производительности. Максимально можно «накинуть» 100 Вт.
- Период буста ЦП. Параметр определяет время работы процессора на полную мощность. Максимум 3600 секунд (1 час).
- CPU TDP при бусте. Мощность напряжения (макс. 100 Вт), потребляемая процессором в течение указанного выше периода времени.
- Отслеживание мощности пакета (PPT). Данный параметр определяет период времени работы процессора в обычном режиме после его выхода из буста и до перехода обратно в бустерный режим (максимум 1000 секунд).
- Мин. CPU TDP. Параметр, определяющий подаваемую на процессор мощность (максимум 100 Вт) питания при его работе в обычном режиме.
Параметры графического процессора Vega:
- Минимальная и максимальная частота Vega iGPU. При помощи данных параметров можно задать тактовую частоту работы графических ядер у ноутбуков AMD Ryzen в пределах от 400 до 2200 МГц.
- Минимальная и максимальная частота Infinity Fabric. На деле «Infinity Fabric» — это просто шина передачи данных между графическим и центральным процессорами. Производительность (скорость передачи данных) шина также зависит от установившейся тактовой частоты, которую пользователь сможет задать самостоятельно в пределах от 400 до 2200 МГц.
Параметры питания:
- Текущее ограничение PSI Параметр определяет максимальный уровень тока в пределах от 20 до 150 мА, подаваемой на контроллер PSI0, отвечающий за питания процессора, материнской платы.
- Предел тока VRM. Примерно то же, что и выше, только речь о контроллере (импульсном преобразователе) VRM материнской платы. Пределы значений те же — от 20 до 150 мА.
От себя добавим, что программу Ryzen Controller можно использовать не только для увеличения производительности работы ноутбуков AMD Ryzen, но и для снижения потребляемой ими мощности. Другими словами, утилита может, наоборот, урезать мощность центрального и/или графического процессора, увеличив тем самым время работы лэптопа в автономном режиме (от аккумулятора).
