DxRemover — это inf-скрипт и он предназначен для силового удаления всех версий DirectX, что позволяет сделать откат на более старую версию DirectX или удалить бету-версию DirectX.

- в редких случаях, загрузить Windows удастся только в режиме защиты от сбоев (safe mode).
- иногда DirectX пропускает установку некоторых своих компонентов (например, DirectSound). Тогда стоит распаковать дистрибутив в какую-нибудь папку и вручную установить соответствующие .inf файлы (например, dsound.inf).

- Проверьте наличие дистрибутивов Windows, драйверов видеокарты, звуковой карты и DirectX.
- Проведите профилактику Windows (проверка дисков, уборка мусора, дефрагментация, резервирование реестра).
- Перегрузите компьютер.
- Установите файл
DxRemove.inf:- Нажмите правую кнопку мыши на файле
DxRemove.inf; - Выберите в появившемся контекстном меню пункт “Установить/Install”;
- После удаления DirectX возможно потребуется перегрузить компьютер.
- Нажмите правую кнопку мыши на файле
- Восстановите DirectX, для этого установите:
- DirectX 8 (и выше) или…
- DirectX 7 (и ниже) + DirectMedia и DirectShow или…
- Windows поверх, тогда восстановится родная версия DirectX (см. ниже).
DirectMedia и DirectShow поставляется как часть Microsoft Windows Media Player 6 (и выше).
Проверить функционирование DirectX можно с помощью утилиты dxdiag.exe входящей в дистрибутив DirectX, обычно эту программу после установки можно найти в C:\Windows\System\.
