Windows».
Enter.
Dev.
Mainline.
External.
Windows».
Windows Insider:
Cloud.Mail.ru)
- Переключение на Release Preview: windows-insider-rp.zip [371 b] (cкачиваний: 892)
Cloud.Mail.ru)
Enter.
Windows».
You can enable Windows 11 Dev Channel on unsupported devices, bypass the limitation and receive the builds. The first preview build of Windows 11 will be available to insiders on the Dev channel, so this is a great chance to personally evaluate the new operating system and test it on your device.
However, due to the updated minimum system requirements, this feature is not available to all users. Computer is not compatible with Windows 11 will be limited to Release Preview channel. The Release Preview channel will only allow you will continue testing updates for Windows 10.
Fortunately, there are a couple ways to force enable the Dev Channel updates. Even if your device is deemed incompatible, you can get Windows 11. Both methods are associated with editing the registry, and one has already been used by insiders in the past to go to the Skip Ahead channel, access to which was limited.
- Open Settings by pressing Win + I on the keyboard.
- Go to Upgrade & recovery > Windows Insider Program.
- Join the program, if you are not already in, and select the Release Preview channel which will be the only available channel for you.
- Now, press Win + R and type
regedit, and hit the Enter key. - Go to the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\UI\Selection. - Change the
UIBranchvalue toDev. - Now, browse the Registry to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicabilitykey. - Set the
BranchNamevalue toDev. - Set the
ContentTypetoMainline. - Change the
Ringvalue toExternal. - Close the Registry Editor and restart Windows 10.
After that, Windows Setting will list Dev channel as the current channel under Update & Security > Windows Insider Program. Also at the top of the page you will see a message that your PC is not compatible with Windows 11, but it won’t block the upgrade.
Ready-to-use Registry files
To avoid the manual Registry editing, you can download the following REG files.
- Download this archive to switch to the Dev channel.
- The following file will allow you to return to the Release Preview channel and continue testing Windows 10.
Alternative method with the OfflineInsiderEnroll.cmd tool
This method involves the OfflineInsiderEnroll utility, which uses undocumented settings from the Windows Insider program. Moreover, this method will work even with local accounts, so you don’t have to sign in with a Microsoft account.
- Download OfflineInsiderEnroll 2.0.3 from abbodi1406 from GitHub .
- Run the downloaded script OfflineInsiderEnroll.cmd as administrator.
- In the Command Prompt window, select the
Devchannel by typing the number 1 and pressing Enter. - Reboot your computer.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that there is still no reliable information about whether it will be possible to bypass the TPM check when updating the system in this way. Microsoft has said that insiders on the Dev Channel will be able to test Windows 11 on unsupported devices prior to the official release of the system. If this is really the case, then these methods should help with obtaining upcoming Insider builds of Windows 11.

Dev Channel vs Beta Channel
The Dev Channel
According to the statement from Microsoft, the Dev Channel is an ideal choice for highly technical users. If you joon the Dev Channel, you can be the first to access the latest Windows 11 builds earliest in the developments cycle with the newest code. The disadvantage is that the build in this Channel is some rough edges and low stability.
The Beta Channel
The Beta Channel is an ideal choice for early adopters. The Windows 11 builds in this Channel are more reliable, with updates validates by Microsoft. Besides, you are appreciated to send feedback because it has the greatest impact on this Channel.
All in all, the Windows 11 Insider preview build on the Beta Channel has a better stability. This is why Microsoft launched Windows 11 to the Beta Channel later than Beta Channel.
Dev Channel to Beta Channel to Stay on More Stabilized Windows 11 Builds
Since Windows 11 Insider preview build 22000.100, Microsoft has begun to roll out the preview build to both the Dev and Beta Channels. Before this, the Windows 11 preview builds were only available on the Dev Channel (the previous Windows 11 Insider preview builds are not stable enough to be released to the Beta Channel).
Along with the release of Windows 11 Insider preview build 22000.160, there is another big change: Microsoft recommends users to switch to the Beta Channel if they want to use a stable build.
Windows 11 will be official released to the supported PCs and hardware in October 2021. Currently, Windows 11 enters the final testing stage. The Redmond company is planning to test the next version of Windows 11 (Windows 11 22H) on the Dev Channel. If you are still on the Dev Channel, the next Windows 11 version you get might be 22H (not sure).
Dev Channel to Beta Channel OR Beta Channel to Dev Channel
- If you want to use a stable Windows 11, you should switch from the Dev Channel to Beta Channel.
- If you want to test the new and experimental features of Windows 11 22H, you can switch from the Beta Channel to Dev Channel.
If you are on the right Channel, you don’t need to make any changes but keep your Windows 11 up-to-date.
How to Switch Between the Dev and Beta Channels in Windows 11?
Let’s explain one thing first. Both the Dev and Beta Channels are available after your join the Windows Insider Program. If not, you should still run Windows 10 on your computer.
It’s easy to switch between these two Channels:
1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
2. Click Windows Update at the bottom of the left settings list and then click Windows Insider Program.
3. Click Choose your Insider settings. Here, you can also see which Channel you are on.
4. Select Beta Channel if you want to switch to it. However, if you are on the Beta Channel and want to test the new features in the next version of Windows 11, you can select Dev Channel. The change will be automatically saved.
Tip: the Release Preview Channel
The Release Preview Channel is the ideal choice if you want to try the new features and improvements in the next version of Windows 10. It is also recommended for commercial users.
If your computer doesn’t meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11, you can join this Channel and download & install Windows 10 21H2 Insider preview build on your computer.
Bottom Line

How to Switch Between Dev and Beta Channels in Windows 11
With reports that future Windows 11 Dev Channel updates could be unstable for Windows Insiders, you might want to switch to the more stable Beta Channel—or back to the Dev Channel later if you change your mind. Here’s how to do it.
Dev Channel vs. Beta Channel: What’s the Difference?
In the Windows Insider Program, Microsoft describes the Dev Channel as being «for highly technical users,» and that «there will be some rough edges and low stability.» It’s a bleeding-edge release channel for brand new features that haven’t been tested much yet.
In contrast, the Beta Channel delivers more reliable builds that are «validated» by Microsoft, and it’s «ideal for early adopters» who want to try Windows 11 with less risk of crashes, according to Microsoft.
When the Windows 11 Insider Preview first launched in June 2021, Microsoft released the OS only through the Windows Insider Dev Channel. After Windows 11 launched on the Beta channel on July 29, a more stable version became available for people who might want to try it out (although we found the Dev Channel release was very stable to begin with).
How to Switch Between Dev and Beta Channels in Windows 11
First, it’s important to know that the following instructions only apply to Windows 11 installations that are linked up to the Windows Insider program. (At the time of this writing on August 24, 2021, that means all Windows 11 installations—but that won’t always be the case.)
To get started, press Windows+i to open the Settings app. You can also right-click the Start menu and select «Settings» from the list.
When Settings opens, select «Windows Update» in the sidebar.
In Windows Update, click «Windows Insider Program.»
In Windows Insider Program settings, click «Choose your Insider Settings» to expand the menu if necessary.
When the menu drops down, click the circular button beside either «Dev Channel» or «Beta Channel (Recommended)» to select it, depending on your preference.
And that’s all you need to do. The Settings app saves your selection automatically. Close Settings, and from now on, you’ll only get Beta Channel updates.
At any time, you can revisit Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and choose a different option to switch channels again. Happy testing!
Microsoft just unveiled the first-ever preview build of Windows 11. As one would expect, it will be available only for those who’re enrolled in the Dev channel of the Windows Insider Program.
Ever since the Windows 11 event of last week, there has been widespread confusion about the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. But it appears that many will be able to bypass the updated hardware requirements if they’re part of the Windows Insider Program.
Here’s everything you need to know to get Windows 11 even if your PC doesn’t meet the requirements for it, including TPM 1.2, 2.0 and Secure Boot.

For once, Microsoft has clearly stated in its blog update that it will allow its Windows 11 preview build to run on systems that do not meet its updated hardware requirements.
“We invite PCs that do not meet the new hardware requirements for Windows 11 to join the Release Preview Channel to preview updates for Windows 10.”
The only caveat here is that the preview builds will only be good for as long as we’re in the preview phase. Getting the final Windows 11 build may still require you to meet those hard minimum requirements later this year. Nevertheless, until that time, those who’re part of the Windows Insider Program (Dev Channel) should have no problem upgrading to Windows 11.
Step 1: Join Windows Insider Program to get Windows 11
If you’ve never been part of the Windows Insider Program, you will have to register and enroll in the program before you can start receiving preview builds and updates. Here’s how you can do so:
Press Win+I to open Settings, go to Update & Security, and select Windows Insider Program in the left panel.

Step 2: Install the update when prompted or manually check for an update
Make sure you register and opt-in your PC to flight Insider Preview builds. When prompted for an update, choose to be in the Dev channel.
To manually check for an update, press Win+I to open Settings, go to Update & Security, and check for updates.
If you’re already part of the Insider Program, you should be getting your Windows 11 update soon enough. Make sure to keep checking for updates from Windows Settings.
Inviting Insiders to install and give feedback on Windows 11 preview builds is Microsoft’s way of thanking those who’ve been installing builds from the Dev channels up until now. However, as long as you get yourself enrolled in the Dev channel of the Windows Insider Program, this should apply to you too.

This is the only exception to the new hardware restrictions that Windows 11 has placed which themselves may be subject to change before the final build is out. As Microsoft puts it: “We will learn how Windows 11 performs across CPU models more comprehensively, informing any adjustments we should make to our minimum system requirements in the future.”
