Способ 1: Настройка методов входа через «Параметры»
Начнем со стандартной настройки Windows 11, которая подходит большинству пользователей. Она предназначена для быстрого изменения методов входа и отключения неиспользуемых. Практически все они относятся к Windows Hello, поэтому вы самостоятельно решаете, от каких доступных вариантов стоит отказаться, какие сохранить или же вообще — обеспечить автоматический вход в систему при включении компьютера.
- Откройте меню «Пуск» и нажмите по значку с шестеренкой для перехода в «Параметры».
- В новом окне на панели слева выберите раздел «Учетные записи» и перейдите к категории «Варианты входа».
- Обратите внимание на то, что под Windows Hello подпадают сразу три разных варианта входа. По умолчанию PIN-код доступен на всех устройствах, а вот распознавание отпечатков и лиц — только на определенных моделях ноутбуков.
- Разверните один из блоков методов входа и нажмите «Удалить» в строке «Удалить этот параметр входа».
- Если выбранный метод авторизации является единственным или вы хотите отключить все варианты, понадобится в блоке «Дополнительные параметры» установить состояние «Откл.» для переключателя «Для повышения безопасности разрешите вход Windows Hello для учетных записей Майкрософт на этом устройстве (рекомендуется)».
Теперь, когда все изменения внесены, остается только выйти из системы или отправить компьютер на перезагрузку, чтобы проверить результативность выполненных действий. Если Windows Hello отключена, значит, вход в операционную систему должен выполниться автоматически при выборе учетной записи (если она одна, то рабочий стол загрузится сразу же без экрана профилей).
Способ 2: Редактирование локальных групповых политик
Примерно те же самые настройки можно выполнить через «Редактор локальных групповых политик», но с дополнительными параметрами, которые будут применены. Редактирование политик подразумевает полное отключение даже возможности использования конкретных методов входа Windows Hello или всех их сразу. Доступ к этим настройкам есть у обладателей версий Виндовс 11 Pro и Enterprise.
- Вызовите утилиту «Выполнить», используя для этого стандартное сочетание клавиш Win + R. В поле ввода напишите
gpedit.mscи нажмите Enter, чтобы подтвердить выполнение команды. - После загрузки окна «Редактора локальной групповой политики» перейдите по пути «Конфигурация компьютера» — «Административные шаблоны» — «Система» и выделите левой кнопкой мыши директорию «Вход в систему».
- Справа вы увидите список всех доступных политик, среди которых будут три разных метода входа, относящихся к Windows Hello. Дважды кликните левой кнопкой мыши по требуемому пункту, чтобы открыть окно настройки его состояния.
- Установите значение «Отключено» и примените изменения. Сделайте то же самое для других вариантов входа, если это нужно. Обязательно перезагрузите компьютер, чтобы соответствующие системные настройки вступили в силу.
Способ 3: Редактирование реестра
Если редактирование локальных групповых политик вам недоступно или описанный выше метод не подходит, можно изменить параметр реестра, чтобы отключить защиту при авторизации в системе. Настройка относится абсолютно ко всем типам ключей и паролей, поэтому позволит сразу организовать автоматический вход в операционную систему при включении компьютера.
- В поиске «Пуска» отыщите приложение «Редактор реестра» и запустите его.
- В адресную строку вставьте путь
Компьютер\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\Settings\AllowSignInOptionsи нажмите Enter, чтобы перейти по нему. - После отображения конечной директории найдите параметр с названием «value» и дважды кликните по нему, чтобы открыть окно редактирования.
- Установите для него значение «0», подтвердите изменение, щелкнув по «ОК», затем произведите перезагрузку операционной системы.
Решение проблемы с отключением Windows Hello в Windows 11
В завершение рассмотрим комплексный метод отключения всех защитных вариантов входа в Виндовс 11, который стоит применять только в том случае, если по каким-то причинам ни один из перечисленных выше не принес должного результата. - Сначала в «Редакторе реестра» перейдите по пути
Компьютер\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device. - В папке найдите параметр с названием «DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion» и дважды щелкните по нему левой кнопкой мыши.
- Измените значение параметра на «0» и перезагрузите компьютер.
- При помощи выполненных только что действий вы открыли доступ к скрытой по умолчанию настройке пользователей в Windows 11. Для доступа к ней в новом сеансе вызовите «Выполнить» (Win + R) и вставьте команду
netplwiz, затем нажмите Enter для подтверждения ввода. - Снимите галочку с пункта «Требовать ввод имени пользователя и пароля», затем примените изменения и снова перезагрузите ПК.
- Остается только внести изменения в реестр путем создания нового параметра или редактирования уже существующего. Сделать это можно и вручную, но куда проще обратиться к «Командной строке». Найдите ее и обязательно запустите от имени администратора.
- Введите команду
reg ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device" /v DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /fи нажмите Enter для ее применения.
По завершении всех действий снова отправьте компьютер на перезагрузку, чтобы параметр реестра заработал корректно. При следующем входе в операционную систему никакие формы для подтверждения авторизации любым из методов Windows Hello появиться не должны.

Open Run command by pressing Windows + R and type Regedit and hit enter. This command will open Registry Editor Console.
Now Navigate to the following Path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System
From the left-hand side click on the System and from the right-hand side right-click on an empty area and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) value. And name the DWORD as AllowDomainPINLogon.
Double-click on AllowDomainPINLogon DWORD and Modify the value from 0 to 1.
Click on OK and Restart the system once. After restarting, you can see the PIN option.

This article explains how to enable or disable domain users from using Windows Hello Biometrics to log on to Windows 11.
Windows 11 has a Windows Hello feature that provides a more personal and secure way to sign into Windows. With Windows Hello, one can use a PIN, facial recognition, or fingerprint to sign into their devices securely.
Most new Windows devices you purchase today will come with biometrics features. In addition, windows will prompt you to use one biometrics feature to protect your device and enhance your data security.
However, Windows Hello Biometrics may not be compatible with a domain environment where user management is centralized.
Here’s how to allow or disallow domain users from using Windows Hello Biometrics to log on to Windows 11.
Turn on or off the use of Windows Hello Biometrics for domain users via the Local Group Policy Editor
As described above, Windows Hello Biometrics features enhance security and data protection. However, not in all cases can users use Windows biometrics features.
Here’s how to enable or disable it.
First, open the Local Group Policy Editor.
Then expand the following folders Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Biometrics.
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Biometrics
Next, click on the Biometrics folder on the left panel, and double-click the setting on the right called “Allow domain users to log on using biometrics” to open.
When the setting window opens, select one of the options:
- Not Configured – Same as enabled. The Biometrics service is available.
- Enabled – Windows Hello Biometrics service is available to use.
- Disabled – Windows Hello Biometrics service is unavailable, and users can use Biometrics.
Save your settings and restart your computer for the changes to apply.
Enable or disable domain users to Windows Hello Biometrics via Windows Registry Editor
Yet another way to turn on or off Windows Hello Biometrics in Windows is to use the Windows Registry Editor.
If you can’t open the Local Group Policy Editor, use the Windows Registry editor instead.
Open the Windows Registry, and navigate to the folder key path below.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft
If you don’t see the Biometrics folder key, right-click on the Microsoft key, then create the subkey (Biometrics) folders.
Right-click the Biometrics folder key’s right pane and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Type a new key named Enabled.
Double-click the new key item name (Enabled) and make sure the Base option is Decimal, and then update the Value data, making sure you keep your existing value:
- To turn this feature on. Type 1.
- To turn this feature off. Type 0.
Save your changes and restart your computer.
That should do it!

Introduction
If you are trying to use Windows Hello to use your face to login to a domain connected device (like a Surface Pro 4 for example) then you may find that the option to set it up is greyed out and not available to you.
This seems to be some sort of Microsoft bug and we have never found any definitive reason for why this happens, but we have found the fix for it.
You need to make a small registry edit on your device. You can do this manually, download and run a .reg file from us or you can always use Group Policy.
Method 1 – Edit the registry manually
So, you go into regedit by clicking the Start button and typing regedit and press the Enter key. Then browse to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsSystemYou then need to create a DWORD with the following values:
- DWORD Name = AllowDomainPINLogon
- Value = 1
Reboot your device and you should notice that you can now set your Windows Hello feature up.
Method 2 – Download a reg file

Then, just unzip the package and double click the .reg file. Allow it to make the change to your device and reboot. Again, you should now see that this Windows Hello feature is now available for you.
Method 3 – Group Policy
If your device is on a domain then you can create a Group Policy to apply this fix to multiple devices. Open up Group Policy and create a new Group Policy Object (or edit an existing one if you wish).
Then, go to the following location in the GPO:
Computer configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Components > Biometric
Then set the following settings:
- Allow domain users to log on using biometrics: Enabled
Then browse to this location in the GPO:
Computer configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Components > Windows Hello for Business
You should check that none of the settings are amended in this part of the GPO and all are set to Not configured:
Deploy the GPO to where you need to and this should enable Windows Hello.

If Windows Hello option is not working at sign-in screen, you can instead use password to login and then try these solutions.
Fix 1: Delete NGC Folder contents
If your PIN is not working, then first fix it with this solution.
- Open File Explorer and then go to this path:
C:\WINDOWS\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft
- Take ownership of Ngc folder. Then Replace owner on subcontainers and objects option under Owner in Advanced security settings window. You need to check that option to continue. Click Apply, OK.
- Now rename the Ngc folder to Ngc.old.
- You can now again try setting up your Windows Hello PIN, followed by face login, fingerprint login.
Fix 2: Allow use of biometrics for Windows Hello
If Windows Hello Face/Fingerprint doesn’t works, try this.
1. Open Group Policy Editor using gpedit.msc command.
2. In the Group Policy Editor window, navigate here:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Biometrics
3. In the right pane of Biometrics, locate Allow users to log on using biometrics policy setting. Double click to modify the policy.
4. In the policy configuration window, select Enabled and click Apply, OK.
5. Close Group Policy Editor and update GP engine to make changes effective.
Fix 3: Check depending hardware
For using biometrics, you would require a special hardware installed on your system, which will convert your physical data to digital data. In case of Windows Hello Face login, this special hardware is IR based webcam. While in case of Windows Hello Fingerprint, this hardware is your fingerprint reader – whether is built-in or external. So under this solution, you need to make sure that these depending hardware is properly installed and can be detected in Device Manager.
Fix 4: Update Windows Hello software
When you’re pretty sure that your Windows Hello hardware is working properly, but still, the issue is not resolved, try this solution.
The problem may be due to an outdated software. So in this case, you need to simply update your Windows Hello software. That is, locate and update your fingerprint and face drivers under Device Manager.
If Windows update does not gives you any updated driver, then you need to install the corresponding driver from your device manufacturer’s website.
