Возможность закрепить сайты на панели задач, довольно полезная функция, поскольку она не только позволяет удобно, в один клик открывать свои любимые сайты / веб-страницы, но и экономит ваше время.
Сайт закрепленный на панели задач будет открыт в том же браузере, который вы использовали, для закрепления его ярлыка на панели задач независимо от состояния веб — браузера по умолчанию. Например, если вы добавили ярлык сайта на панели задач с помощью Edge, веб — сайт будет открыт только в браузере Microsoft Edge, даже если вы установили Internet Explorer или Google Chrome в качестве веб — браузере по умолчанию.

Как закрепить сайт на панели задач с помощью Microsoft Edge Chromium
Шаг 1: Откройте Microsoft Edge.

Шаг 3: Нажмите на кнопку меню с тремя точками (Alt + F).

Выбранный веб-сайт будет закреплен и появится на панели задач.
Готово. Позже вы можете открепить закрепленный веб-сайт, кликнув правой кнопкой мыши его значок на панели задач и выбрав «Открепить от панели задач».
Примечание: Когда вы закрепляете сайт на панели задач, закрепленный веб-сайт также отображается в главном меню Microsoft Edge «Приложения».
Открепление сайта от панели задач не удалит сайт оттуда. Чтобы избавиться от записи в разделе «Приложения», кликните пункт «Управление приложениями» и нажмите кнопку удаления со значком X, для удаления записи сайта.
Закрепить сайт на панели задач Windows 10 с помощью классического (старый) Edge

Pin a Website from Google Chrome
Navigate to the website you want to pin. Click the three vertical dots in the top right of Chrome, hover your mouse over «Save and Share,» then select «Create Shortcut.»
In the pop-up menu, change the name of the shortcut if desired, and click «Create.» This will automatically create an icon on your Windows desktop and pin the link to your taskbar.
By default, Chrome will open the web page as a tab in a normal Chrome browser window. You can check the «Open as Window» option to have Chrome open the page in its own window with its own taskbar icon when you click the shortcut.
From your desktop, right-click on the shortcut, and click «Pin to Start.» You can now delete the shortcut on your desktop. You can also select «Unpin from Taskbar» if you don’t want it on your taskbar.
If you set the website to open as a window, it will open immediately as its own window. You can then right-click its shortcut on your taskbar and select «Pin to Taskbar» without using the desktop shortcut.
Pin a Website from Firefox
Create a shortcut to Firefox on your desktop. You can do this by typing «Firefox» into your Start menu, right-clicking on the icon, and clicking «Open File Location.»
In the new File Explorer window, right-click Firefox and click «Create Shortcut.» A prompt will appear, saying, «Windows can’t create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?» Click «Yes.»
Right-click the new Firefox icon on your desktop, and click «Properties.» In the Target field, insert the full URL of the website you want to pin after the quotation mark. Here’s an example of what the Target field should look like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" https://www.howtogeek.com
Click «OK.»
From your desktop, right-click on the shortcut, and click either «Pin to Start» or «Pin to Taskbar.» You can now delete the shortcut on your desktop.
Pin a Microsoft Edge Website
Microsoft’s Chromium-based Edge browser works similarly to Google Chrome. To pin any website to a taskbar, simply open the «Settings and More» menu (Alt+F, or click on the three horizontal dots in the top right of your browser). Hover your mouse over «More tools» and click «Pin to Taskbar» or «Pin to Start.»
Additionally, Edge has a neat feature called «Launch Taskbar Pinning Wizard,» which you can see right below «Pin to Taskbar.» Click this, and Edge will guide you through a short menu that lets you pin the most popular websites and Microsoft web apps to your taskbar
Over the past two years, Microsoft Edge browser has seen some big and numerous small features and improvements.
Edge browser always allowed users to pin websites to the Start menu for quick and easy access. Popular browser Google Chrome also supports pinning websites to the Start and taskbar in Windows 10.
With Fall Creators Update for Windows 10 build 16225, Microsoft Edge browser gets the ability to pin websites to the taskbar. In short, in addition to the Start menu, you can now pin your favorite websites to the taskbar as well.
The ability to pin websites to the taskbar is a useful feature as it not only allows you quickly open your favorite websites/webpages but also saves a couple of seconds in launching a web browser, typing the URL, and hitting the Enter key to open the website/webpage.
Website shortcuts pinned to the taskbar will be opened in the same browser which you used to pin the shortcut to taskbar irrespective of the status of the default web browser. For instance, if you have added a website shortcut to the taskbar using Edge, the website will be opened in the Edge browser only, even if you have set Internet Explorer or Google Chrome as the default web browser.
In this guide, we will see how to pin your favorite websites/webpages to Windows 10 taskbar using Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.
NOTE: We suggest you pin only websites that you visit very often to the taskbar as pinning a bunch of websites to the taskbar easily clutters it.
Step 1: Launch the Edge browser. Head over to the website/webpage which you want to pin to the taskbar. If you have issues opening Edge, repair the Edge browser to fix the issue.
Step 2: Click the Settings menu (3 dots located upper right) and then click Pin this page to the taskbar option to pin the current website/webpage to your Windows 10 taskbar.
Windows 10 will open websites shortcuts pinned to the taskbar (using Edge browser) with Edge browser only even if you have set a different browser as default.
Pin websites to Windows 10 taskbar using Google Chrome
Step 1: Open the URL which you want to pin to the taskbar in your Google Chrome browser.
Step 2: Click the 3 dots located top-right. Select More tools and then click Add to desktop.
Step 3: You should now see Add to the desktop dialog. Enter a name for the desktop shortcut of the website/webpage and then click Add button to create a shortcut on your desktop.
Step 4: Finally, drag and drop the website shortcut on the desktop to the taskbar area to pin it to the taskbar. You can also double-click on the desktop shortcut to open the website/webpage.
Unpin websites from Windows 10 taskbar
Step 1: Right-click on the website shortcut on the taskbar and then click Unpin from taskbar option. Simple as that!
You might like to pin the Recycle Bin to the taskbar as well.
