У меня есть нетбук Acer Aspire One ZG5 (2008 года выпуска) с 32-битным одноядерным двухпоточным процессором Intel Atom N270 (1,6 ГГц), 1,5 ГБ оперативной памяти, встроенной видеокартой Intel GMA 950 и под управлением Windows Server 2003 SP2 (серверного эквивалента Windows XP SP3, поддерживающего внешние жесткие диски емкостью более 2 терабайт с GPT-разметкой).
У кого-нибудь есть кастомные драйверы для нетбучной встроенной видеокарты Intel GMA 950 на Windows XP и Windows Server 2003, в которых энтузиастами, в отличие от официальных драйверов от компании Intel, улучшена совместимость с DirectX-играми, использующими Shader Model 3.0? У меня на Intel GMA 950 и Windows Server 2003 SP2 игра Need for Speed: Carbon (российская дисковая ПК-лицензия от компании 1С с NoDVD) с библиотекой-враппером SwiftShader слишком сильно лагает, а игра Saints Row 2 (репак от irvins) с библиотекой-враппером SwiftShader доходит до главного меню, но вылетает при начале новой игры.

из кастомных драйверов для Intel GMA 950 выложены только драйверы, требующие минимум Windows 7.

Ok so I have a mid 2007 white MacBook that has an Intel GMA950 graphics in it. Here are the specs:

Now here is my deal. I’m running Windows XP Professional through VirtialBox. Everything installed fine but for some reason when I check the Device Manager it is showing that there is no driver for a Video Controller (VGA Compatible). Now I know the GMA 950 is an Intel Product (duh obviously) so then that should mean that there is an appropriate driver out there for it am I wrong? I’ve searched all over the Intel site and have found nothing that works. I’m really getting irritated by this and would really like to just get this driver and call it a day.
So if anyone out there has any information on this that can help me please let me know! =)

did you install the VirtualBox Addtions for Windows yet ?

VirtualBox like any other virtualization app (Parallels and VMWare Fusion) don’t use the graphics chip/card natively, but use a virtualized graphics chip/card for which they have their own driver.
With the installation of the VirtualBox Additions this driver is installed.
