Free Video Editor (former Free Video Dub) is a video editing software which lets you delete unwanted parts from video files without re-encoding. That means that the program preserves original quality of the input video files and deletes their parts easily and fast. All you have to do is to set a start and an end point for the unwanted part, delete it and press the button Save video. The edited video is saved as a new file. Don’t even waste your time trying this software, it is NOT FREE!! I just spent an hour removing commercials from a football game, only to discover that it inserts a HUGE WATERMARK on ALL output unless you PURCHASE a subscription for either $19/mo or $39/yr. Thanks a lot for wasting my time!

The 1.4.13.805 version can still be downloaded from http://www.tucows.com/preview/1600233
However after giving it a pretty good try it seems that it does not do frame accurate clipping after all! All it does is starts the trimmed output block at a nearby keyframe and doesn’t try to do any «smart-rendering» to give you a few extra frames before an existing keyframe.
So don’t bother wasting your time with it, it provides no extra functionality over free tools like avidemux (which as of version 2.6 also insists on starting an output block at a keyframe).

For anyone who wants to to use the 1.4.13.805 version its uploaded to my Mega Cloud.
Its the last version before the started shamelessly charge for it even when they spam us with malware crap.
Its very useful for lossless editing, the best tool I seen in this category.
Just make sure you read very carefully through the installation and block the program through firewall to prevent it from forcing itself updating.

Возможности Free Video Editor
Программа Free Video Editor является узкоспециализированным видеоредактором с основным упором на обрезку и конвертирование видео. При помощи данного приложения пользователь за короткое время сможет разделить видеоролик на части произвольной продолжительности либо вырезать из него ненужные фрагменты. Сделать это можно двумя способами:
- Использование инструмента «Ножницы»
Все, что требуется пользователю — указать начало и конец фрагмента, который следует удалить из видео. Инструмент позволяет отмечать одновременно несколько фрагментов, что очень удобно при необходимости выполнения нескольких операций обрезки над одним видеороликом.
Дальнейшие действия редактора зависят от выбранной пользователем опции сохранения видео. Программа может просто удалить выделенные участки, а затем сохранить цельный видеоролик путем склеивания оставшихся фрагментов, либо разделить видео на части (каждая отдельная часть — невыделенные инструментом «Ножницы» участки).
- Использование тегов
Данный инструмент позволяет устанавливать на любой точке видео специальные метки — теги. Их можно расставить вручную либо воспользоваться функцией автоматической расстановки:
- Установка тегов на первом кадре каждой новой сцены видео (правильность расстановки меток может отличаться в зависимости от содержания и качества видеоролика).
- Установка тегов с временным интервалом.
- Установка тегов через равное количество кадров.
- И распределение установленного пользователем количества тегов равномерно по всей продолжительности видео.
Теперь видеоролик может быть разделен по расставленным меткам. Также можно задействовать функцию сохранения изображений (кадров) в местах, где установлены теги. Данная опция особенно удобна, к примеру, при подготовке мини слайд-шоу к видео при его выгрузке на сайт (ключевые кадры могут последовательно отображаться при наведении посетителем курсора на блок со ссылкой на видеоролик).
Дополнительные функции и конвертирование видео
Редактор Free Video Editor имеет пару полезных функций — возможность регулировки уровня громкости (как в большую, так и меньшую сторону) и поворот видео на 90/180/270 градусов.
Импортированный и обработанный в программе Free Video Editor видеоролик может быть сохранен в одном из следующих форматов:
- Первоначальный формат видео. Если программа позволила импортировать видеофайл, то она сможет и сохранить его в том же формате.
- Видео-форматы — AVI, MP4 и MKV. Любые импортированные видеоролики можно конвертировать в один из этих форматов. Также имеется возможность установки выходного разрешения, выбора кодека, качества картинки и частоты дискретизации аудио для каждого из форматов.
- Сохраняется только звук из видеоролика. Имеется возможность выбора битрейта и частоты аудио.
- Графические форматы JPG и GIF. В первом случае сохраняются изображения с меток (было рассмотрено выше). При сохранении в формат GIF видеоролик трансформируется в анимацию, состоящую из всех кадров видео либо только тех кадров, на которые расставлены теги. Имеется возможность создания множества GIF-анимаций, разделенных по меткам. Разрешение GIF-картинки может быть 320х240, 176х144 или 128х96 пикселей.
Ограничения бесплатной версии
В бесплатной версии программы Free Video Dub (Free Video Editor) отсутствует возможность сохранения видео в первоначальном формате (возможна только его конвертация в MP4, AVI или MKV). Других ограничений нет. Также в обработанный видеоролик программа размещает водяной знак продолжительностью около 1 минуты (независимо от продолжительности самого видеоролика).
