На самом деле, чтобы загрузить DirectX 12, 10, 11 или 9.0с (последний — если у вас Windows XP), достаточно просто зайти на официальный сайт Microsoft и все. Таким образом, вы не рискуете, что вместо DirectX скачаете что-то не столь дружелюбное и можете быть полностью уверены, что это будет действительно бесплатно и без всяких сомнительных смс. Как скачать DirectX с официального сайта Microsoft
Обратите внимание, в этом случае начнется загрузка Веб-установщика DirectX, который после запуска определит вашу версию Windows и установит нужную версию библиотек (а заодно и старые недостающие библиотеки, которые могут пригодиться для запуска некоторых игр), то есть ему потребуется подключение к Интернету.
Также следуюет учитывать, что в последних версиях Windows, например, в 11 и 10, обновление последних версий DirectX (11 и 12) происходит путем установки обновлений через Центр обновлений.
Итак, для того, чтобы скачать на компьютер подходящую вам версию DirectX, просто зайдите на эту страницу: https://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/download/details.aspx?id=35 и нажмите кнопку «Скачать» (Примечание: в последнее время Майкрософт пару раз меняла адрес официальной страницы с DirectX, так что если вдруг перестанет работать — пожалуйста, сообщите в комментариях). После этого запустите загруженный веб-установщик.
После запуска загрузятся все необходимые библиотеки DirectX, отсутствующие на компьютере, но иногда востребованные, особенно для запуска старых игр и программ в последних Windows.

К сожалению, найти DirectX 11 и 10 в виде отдельных файлов для загрузки, а не веб-установщика, на официальном сайте мне не удалось. Однако, судя по информации на сайте, если вам требуется DirectX 11 для Windows 7, вы можете загрузить обновление платформы отсюда https://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/download/details.aspx?id=36805 и, установив его, автоматически получите последнюю версию DirectX.
Сама по себе установка Microsoft DirectX в Windows — это очень простой процесс: просто нажимайте «Далее» и со всем соглашайтесь (правда, только в том случае, если скачали с официального сайта, иначе таким образом вам могут помимо нужных библиотек установить и ненужные программы).
Какая у меня версия DirectX и какой мне нужен?
Прежде всего, о том, как узнать, какой DirectX уже установлен:
- Нажмите клавиши Windows + R на клавиатуре и введите в окно «Выполнить» команду dxdiag, после чего нажать Enter или Ок.
- Вся необходимая информация будет отображена в появившемся окне «Средство диагностики DirectX», в том числе и установленная версия.
Если говорить о том, какая версия нужна для вашего компьютера, то вот информация об официальных версиях и поддерживаемых операционных системах:
- Windows 10 — DirectX 12, 11.2 или 11.1 (зависит от драйверов видеокарты).
- Windows 8.1 (и RT)и Server 2012 R2 — DirectX 11.2
- Windows 8 (и RT) и Server 2012 — DirectX 11.1
- Windows 7 и Server 2008 R2, Vista SP2 — DirectX 11.0
- Windows Vista SP1 и Server 2008 — DirectX 10.1
- Windows Vista — DirectX 10.0
- Windows XP (SP1 и выше), Server 2003 — DirectX 9.0c

DirectX is a set of components in Windows that allows software, primarily and especially games, to work directly with your video and audio hardware. Games that use DirectX can use multimedia accelerator features built-in to your hardware more efficiently which improves your overall multimedia experience.

The DxDiag tool reports detailed information about the DirectX components and drivers installed on your system and can be used.
Windows 10
- From Start, type dxdiag in the Search box, and then press enter.
- Tap or click on dxdiag from the results.
- Check DirectX Version on the first page of the report in the System Information section.
Windows 8.1 or 8
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. Type dxdiag in the search box. Or, just type dxdiag from Start.
- Tap or click on dxdiag from the results.
- Check DirectX Version on the first page of the report in the System Information section.
Windows 7 or earlier
- Click Start, type dxdiag in the search box.

Windows 10 and Server 2016 Technical Preview
DirectX 11.3 and 12 are included with these Windows versions.
Updates will be available through Windows Update. There is no stand-alone package for these versions of DirectX.
Windows 8, RT, 8.1, Server 2012, and Server 2012 R2
- DirectX 11.1 is included in Windows 8, Windows RT, and Windows Server 2012. There is no stand-alone update package for DirectX 11.1. You can only install this DirectX version through Windows Update in Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Server 2012.
- DirectX 11.2 is included in Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. There is no stand-alone update package for DirectX 11.2. You can only install this DirectX version through Windows Update in Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
Note To upgrade DirectX further, you will need to upgrade your operating system.
Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2
- DirectX 11.0 is included in Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. There is no stand-alone update package for this version. You can update DirectX by installing the service pack and update listed below.
- DirectX 11.1 is available for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 RS SP1, with Platform Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 (KB2670838).

Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
- DirectX 10 is included in Windows Vista. There is no stand-alone update package for this version. You can update DirectX by installing the service pack and update listed below.
- DirectX 10.1 is included in Windows Vista SP1 or later, and Windows Server SP1 or later. There is no stand-alone update package for this version. You can update DirectX by installing the service pack and update listed below.
- DirectX 11.0 is available for Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2, with KB971512 installed.

Windows XP and Windows Server 2003
DirectX 9.0c is available for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 by installing the DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime.
Some applications and games require DirectX 9. However, your computer includes a more recent version of DirectX. If you install and then run an application or game that requires DirectX 9, you might receive an error message such as «The program can’t start because d3dx9_35.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.»
To resolve this issue, install DirectX End-User Runtime.

- When you run this package, no change is made to your version of DirectX, Direct3D 9, Direct3D 10.x, Direct3D 11.x, DirectInput, DirectSound, DirectPlay, DirectShow, or DirectMusic.

This is a standalone installer, many older games can require it. If you get say d3dx9_39.dll not found» or «dsetup.dll error», or «d3dx9_43.dll missing, this can solve your issues.
