Официальный драйвер поддерживает операционные системы семейства Windows до версии XP включительно (32/64 бита). Однако, для того, чтобы установить драйвер для ОС более поздних версий, необходимо выполнить одно из предложенных действий:
- установить самые свежие обновления для Windows (используйте «Центр обновления Windows»). Тогда ОС сама распознает принтер (рекомендуется)
- установить приложение My Printer (Мой принтер), которое облегчит обслуживание принтера и выявит неисправности в работе устройства и программного обеспечения (версия: 3.2.0; размер файла: 5.27Мб)
- произвести ручную установку официального драйвера из предложенного архива (подробнее о ручной установке здесь). Данный способ работоспособен с 64-битными ОС.
Если, по каким-либо причинам используется 32-х битная ОС Windows Vista/7/8/10 и устройство не определяется системой автоматически, тогда рекомендуется вручную установить неофициальный драйвер из архива canon_ip1000x86.rar.

Для настройки работы оборудования с персональным компьютером при подключении оборудования потребуется установка драйвера. Скачивание программного обеспечения требуется только в том случае, если активация не произошла автоматически после подключения оборудования к ПК. Проверить установлены ли требуемые программы на ПК вы можете в Диспетчере устройств, для этого требуется открыть:

Желтый восклицательный знак рядом с наименованием контроллера или устройства – уведомление о том, что программа автоматически не установлена и необходимо скачать драйвер для принтера Canon PIXMA iP1000.

Как установить драйвер
Для настройки печатающего оборудования и персонального компьютера требуется произвести несколько несложных действий в следующей последовательности:
