Audiograbber — граббер аудио-дисков, служащий для переписывания музыкальных трэков с CD на жесткий диск компьютера в формате WAV/MP3/WMA (при наличии соответствующих кодеков). Позволяет создавать записи практически идентичные оригинальным.
Эта программа может определять диски по CDDB, есть нормализатор, может кодировать как со своим встроенным кодером в mp3, wma, так и с помощью внешнего подключаемого кодера. Audiograbber очень прост в использовании и настройке. Существует две версии программы – полная и бесплатная. Бесплатная может переписывать только половину трэков, а затем требуется перезапустить утилиту.

Audiograbber — бесплатная программа помогающая сохранить музыкальные треки с аудиодисков на жесткий диск компьютера. В процессе сохранения могут быть удалены паузы перед и после композиций, произведена нормализация громкости, а сами композиции могут быть конвертированы в выбранный формат. Разработчики заявляют, что благодаря функции записи с линейного входа Audiograbber может использоваться для оцифровки старых пластинок и аудиокассет, причем сразу в формат MP3.
Audiograbber это программа, дошедшая до наших дней со времен широкого распространения звуковых компакт-дисков, которые повсеместно использовались для распространения музыкальных альбомов. Существенным недостатком подобных дисков была невозможность копирования аудиозаписей на компьютер, в результате которого на жестком диске оставались только ярлыки, которые не воспроизводились без диска в CD-Rom’е. Это привело к появлению отдельного класса программ — аудиограбберов, а сам процесс сохранения треков получил название «граббинг».
Благодаря постоянно расширяющемуся функционалу и встроенному и обновляемому кодеку MP3, Audiograbber стал одним из самых популярных подобных приложений. Изначально авторы сделали ставку на красивый и понятный интерфейс и добавили в программу поддержку практически всех имеющихся приводов CD-ROM, поддерживающих воспроизведение аудиодисков.
Как уже говорилось, в процессе «граббинга» файлы могут быть перекодированы как в WAV, так и в MP3 формат (для этого необходимо установить последнюю версию кодировщика LAME). В случае появления щелчков или пробелов в готовом файле, можно попробовать поиграться с настройками, понизить скорость чтения диска или перейти на другой метод копирования. Для автоматизации ввода названий композиций, программа умеет считывать данные из базы компакт-дисков CDDB, которая содержит информацию о большинстве выпускавшихся аудиодисков.
Интересно, что изначально планировался выпуск аудиодисков размером 11,5 сантиметров, однако диаметр и длительность музыки, которую можно было на него записать, были специально увеличены по просьбе компании Sony до 12 см и 74 минут соответственно, чтобы целиком уместить на одном диске 9-ю симфонию Бетховена.
Audiograbber is a beautiful piece of software that grabs digital audio from cd’s. It copies the audio digitally-not through the soundcard-which enables you to make perfect copies of the originals. It can even perform a test to see that the copies really are perfect. Audiograbber can also automatically normalize the music, delete silence from the start and/or end of tracks, and send them to a variety or external MP3 encoders, such as Fraunhofers L3enc, or even use some MP3/WMA encoders internally for automatic creation of MP3’s. Audiograbber can download and upload disc info from freedb, an Internet compact disc database. You can even record your vinyl LP’s or cassette tapes with Audiograbber and make wav’s or MP3’s of them. Requires lame_enc.dll, extract and put in Audiograbber folder.

There’s a 2020 version of this superb software which works in all platforms of Windows, but it is now bundled with spyware in the installer. Just download the older version from Videohelp(1.59mb) and use the tutorial link below to type in newer database resource.

Wow, what can’t you do with this feature packed CD ripper. I use it as a general audio converter too, extracting my audio to wave 16 bit pcm 48khz using Pazera Extractor, so I can see any errors in the log as it extracts in real time.
Then I pre normalize the wav in Audiograbber and finally pressing the make mp3 option using an external encoderencoder(fdk.end) to mp4a. I get transparency using the command line below which is approx 160vbr and higher. The 16 bit wave 44khz is only suitable for the mp3 internal encoder like Lame 3.100 and the program will give useful messages to warn advise the user. I cannot recommend this software enough. Truly Magnifico freeware!

Worked it out very easily. Enter one of the command lines below in audiograbber ‘Predefined arguments:’ box, for generating He-aacV1 & He-aacV2 audio. p29 = He-aacv2 by the way.
Files come out fully normalised with no clipping using peak level set to 90 setting! Really tiny files, but perceptual much better quality than Lc-aac or Nero generated ones imho.

Also not sure if the command line can be manipulated for HE-AAC encoding in audiograbber as the profile argument is based on FAAC. All other encoders as external will not work in audiograbber e.g Nero, FAAC 1.29.2 etc. Only this fdk.end appears suitable as a plugin for xp onwards to encode to mp4a. The audio is fully transparent at 192kpbs(or 160kbps depending on your ears!) and artifact free. I also encoded to as low as 32kbps and ran it through MagiX Audio suite to check for artifacts,clicking etc. None registered. Check audio frequencies with free spek tool. Extremely useful. Audiograbber full of useful options. Superb suite. Command lines for fdk, link below to play with in audiograbber. Maybe some genius can successfully get he-accV2 to work if not me!
