Afuwingui — это простая утилита для прошивки биос из под Windows поможет, когда Ваш биос невозможно прошить программой FPT, или при прошивке через AFUDOS у Вас по каким либо причинам не работает клавиатура (например после неудачной прошивки, или кривого мод биоса).
Программа предназначена для биосов производства American Megatrends.
Версия 5.12 подходит для биосов на Aptio 5, использующихся в большинстве китайских материнских плат на сокете 2011-3.
Сначала делаем бэкап родного биоса — запускаем утилиту AFUWINGUIx64.EXE, нажимаем «Save» и сохраняем файл.
Если программа не совместима с Вашим чипом Вы увидите соответствующее сообщение с ошибкой
Таким образом перед прошивкой биоса мы можем проверить совместимость программы с нашим чипом биоса, если процесс бэкапа прошёл удачно, значит чип биоса совметим с программой.
Далее нажимаем кнопку «Open», выбираем файл биоса для прошивки, во вкладке Setup ставим галочки как на скриншоте и нажимаем кнопку «Flash».
По завершению процесса прошивки, система перезагрузится уже с обновлённым биосом.
Прошить биос через Afuwin можно и без графического интерфейса, для этого создайте в папке с программой .bat файл с параметрами:
AFUWINx64 имя_прошивки.rom /P /B /N /X /SHUTDOWN

Не прошивайте файл дампа биоса, если не уверены, что он предназначен для Вашей платы.
После прошивки биоса рекомендуется сбросить настройки по умолчанию.

AFUWIN — простая и полезная утилита, позволяющая прошивать биос прямо из под Винды. AFUWIN работает с биосами производства American Megatrends. Например, AFUWIN 5.12 подходит для биосов на Aptio 5, использующихся в большинстве китайских плат на сокете LGA 2011-3. Причем AFUWIN прекрасно работала с Windows 8 и 10, а на Win 11 категорически не хочет.
Раньше для прошивки биоса под Win11 я грузился с загрузочного ssd с 10й виндой, но опытным путем удалось «вылечить» AFUWIN.
Итак, для корректной работы AFUWIN под Windows 11 pro 24H2, необходимо настроить параметры совместимости, как показано на скриншоте. Но простое включение совместимости в режиме Windows 8 оказалось недостаточно, поэтому также пришлось установить галочки, как на скриншоте. С этими настройками биос прекрасно прошился из под Винды.
При прошивке биоса желательно закрыть все сторонние программы и не мешать программе прошивать биос.
Также не забываем, что при прошивке неправильного биоса или сбоях в момент прошивки, материнка может легко превратиться в кирпич, поэтому делаем все на свой страх и риск.
- Сохраняем старый биос из материнки в файл, заодно проверяем, что AFUWIN корректно читает flash. Для этого запускаем программу и используем кнопку Save.
- Модифицируем наш биос с помощью S3 Turbo tool или берем готовый подходящий биос нужного размера и от нужной материнки/чипсета.
- Для загрузки нажимаем кнопку Open, открываем нужный файл и далее ставим 3 галочки, которые я отметил красным (остальные галки поставятся сами)
- Если все готово, убеждаемся, что все лишние программы закрыты, и ближайшие 3 минуты ничто не помешает прошивке. И нажимаем Flash. После прошивки комп сам перезагрузится.

Reprogramming the board’s BIOS is a critical operation.
Do not turn off the system or remove AC power while the BIOS update operation is in progress, otherwise this may lead to a non-functioning board.
The first reboot after reprogramming may be slower due to some operations, such as flash re-initialization or embedded controller reprogramming. For this reason it is necessary to wait for the complete boot with the new BIOS before considering the operation completed.
AFU is a very powerful tool which allows a wide range of operations in addition to BIOS reprogramming and most of them could not be supported by the platform.

Copy the updater tool and the BIOS binary inside the USB drive.

Then, turn on the system and enter in the Aptio Setup Utility pressing the
[ESC]

From the Save & Exit page select the USB drive created, generally named as “UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell” or similar.

Linux utility
The Linux Flash tool needs gcc compiler and Kernel-headers installed in the system: make sure they are installed in the system, otherwise install them.
For example, in Debian/Ubuntu you can install them with the following command:apt install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)

Copy the updater tool and the BIOS binary file in a folder of the Linux Disk.
Both bios_updater_YYY.sh

Open a new terminal as super user and move to the folder where AFU utility and the firmware file are located. From inside here:

Notes
BIOS downgrade is not supported.
Downgrade operation from an upper to a lower BIOS version is strongly discouraged.
New BIOS versions may contain bug fixes, corrections to critical issues and even updates to critical parts as the TXE or the microcode. Unexpected behaviours (non-working module, in the worst case) may arise reverting these components.

Any attempt to update a BIOS not provided by SECO may lead to a non-working board.
Custom homemade images obtained, for instance, with a dump of the content of a BIOS flash from another system are not supported and must not be used.
What to do in case of different PCIe aggregration
AFU tool allows users to update BIOS binary configured with a different PCIe aggregation.
To use this feature the updater script must be modified:

Open the script file (

Add the option /FDR at the end of the other AFU commands:

Save the file and follow the steps described before to update your BIOS with the PCIe aggregation desired.
At the end of the operation a full power off of the system (mechanical off, G3 state) is needed.
It’s important to perform this final step instead of rebooting the system, otherwise the strap will not be reloaded and the PCIe configuration will not be updated.
